Curriculum & Schedule

WE COVER THE FOLLOWING FOUR AREAS:
BIBLICAL STUDIES

Learning about God. We study books of the Bible and theological themes with the benefit of giving lifelong foundations and tools for students to understand God and His Word.

CHRISTIAN LIVING

Learning about relationships. We focus on character development and giving biblical and practical tools on how to relate to people and to get to know themselves better.

CULTURE

Learning about the world.
We look at how to develop a Christian/biblical worldview as we have classes that engage with media, movies, popular culture and important modern ethical issues.

CHURCH LIFE

We teach about church leadership, do practical ministry and expose students to various congregations and conferences. We also offer a worship stream training students to play instruments and lead worship.

Leap incorporates more than the conveying of information to the end of attaining an attendance certificate. It facilitates the growth of a student, equipping them to effectively fulfil their destiny by supplying the necessary competencies and experience to succeed. Developing a person to walk as someone of character, with a dynamic relationship with God who will be effective in whatever they set out to do. It leads to an individual, encountered by a living God, changed and ready to bring change!

CLASS SCHEDULE & AFTERNOON PROGRAM

The Leap program will run from 8:30 until 13:00 during week days. During these times, students will focus on our curriculum. We will have devotional times, teaching classes, an outreach day once a week, practical classes, book review classes, and a worship stream.

Students will be exposed to a variety of teachers from within JoshGen as well as other local and international speakers.

During the afternoons all students will be expected to get involved in an afternoon elective. Even though the official Leap program will only be until 1pm in the afternoons, the student will be expected to get involved in one of the electives mentioned below.

We consider these electives to be an integral part of our holistic approach to training, where the focus is on all aspects of the student’s development. Internet and study facilities are available at our campus for self-study or distance work. As part of the Study Elective, should a student wish to study Theology on a more formal basis, we would strongly suggest a correspondence course through SATS (South African Theological Seminary). Leap has had a long partnership with SATS to date, and we can testify that their material is Bible-based and aimed at equipping ministers for the church. Leap can offer assistance in the enrolment process of a student should they wish to study through SATS.
